Join us as we throw open our doors to the very first
Picture Book Appreciation Society event
Are you a grown up who loves picture books? If yes then welcome to the inaugural meeting of the Picture Book Appreciation Society. We’re inviting picture book enthusiasts to join us for an evening discussing and celebrating the best in illustrated books.
Think Desert Island Discs for picture books, we’ve invited picture book aficionado’s Helen Hancocks and Ben Javens to pick 3 books from their collection:
1 – Their most treasured book from their childhood
2 – The book they love to read / share with people
3 – Their most recent picture book discovery
We’ll get to find out why they picked them, which one they would save from a fire and whether they think picture books should be kept on a high shelf away from children, or should they be out for everyone to share and get their grubby hands on.
