Every day, a little girl passes a beautiful flower on her way to school, shes speaks to the flower telling it how much she loves it. That is until the owner, a possessive gardner who wants all of the enjoyment of the garden to himself, sends her away. The gardener is dismayed to find that the flower will no longer open, it’s stopped sharing its beauty each day. He doesn’t understand, he’s watered it, given it shade, he’s even tried talking to it just like the little girl did. He’s shared with the plant just how wonderful HE is and how important HIS job is, what more can he do? finally he turns to the little girl for help.
A wonderful story of hope, persistence and understanding others written by celebrated author Anne Booth with beautifully delicate illustrations by Robyn Wilson-Owen
